Arthur as JC

Wow the religious implications are pretty blatant in the end of this. Arthur dying and then being prophisised to return when Britain needs him screams Jesus Christ, as does the fact that he is betrayed by someone who used to be his follower (Mordred). This one is a little lose but Bedivere fails to return the sword to the lake as Peter denies Christ; however, Bedivere only fails to return the sword twice while Peter denies three times. Arthur fulfills a prophesy as does Jesus. Lancelot reminds me of the apostle Paul. At first he is harmful to Arthur as Paul was to the Christians, but at the end, he repents and becomes a priest as Paul became an apostle of Christ. Guinevere seems to me like Mary Magdalene. Guinevere was never a prostitute, but she sure wasn't faithful, but after the death of Arthur, she becomes a nun. Mary Magdalene was saved by Jesus from stoning, and then became on of his most devoted followers. That's all I have.
